About Me

My name is Julian and I live and study in Heidelberg, Germany. Meeting new people and experiencing new things is what I live for. Besides that I love doing sports, talking about politics, society and philosophy and all sorts of partys and other social events.

Different people with different views and different styles of living amaze me. I'm always suprised again when I realize the diversity of human experiences.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to see the world, or atleast as much as possible. I've been to some countries but not nearly enough. Couchsurfing opens the possibility to visit a country and meet natives to get a real impression of it. Going to hostels is nice to, because you meet a lot of people but mostly you can't really get in touch with a country and its people. I hope Couchsurfing gives better possibilities!

Music, Movies, and Books

All sorts of Electronic Music, some Hip Hop, some Rock.. thats it I guess.
My favorite Books by far is "The Road" by Cormac McCarthy, if you havent read it, check it out!
My favorite Movie is probably "Drive", although I like all kinds of Movies, except comedies. For me, movies have to tell a meaningful story about People with character.
Other examples would be 28 days later, The Dark knight and Ex Machina.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've been to Istanbul for 2 month for an exchange program. Istanbul is the greatest city I've been to so far, it offers a glimpse into a traditional eastern life on the one hand and a modern western society on the other. This clash of culture makes it incredibly beatiful.

Teach, Learn, Share

If anybody is interested I could teach some economics, although I doubt it. Outside of my university I dont meet a lot of economy interested people. Other than that I could teach some German and tell about German culture and society.

I'm eager to learn about other cultures and societies.

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, England, France, Italy, Morocco, Turkey
