I’m Julian, a 20-year-old, open-minded, adventurous and committed Latin-American-addict from Germany.
Having just finished Highschool I will spend some time traveling Central America before attending University.
My passion for Latin-America arouse in 2015 when I participated in an exchange program which made me live in Panama and Costa Rica for one year. Since then I’m strengthening my bonds to Central America regarding the Spanish language, Hispanic culture and further intercultural encounters (like hosting students from other countries).
Besides being a glider pilot I’m crazy about any kinds of sports, especially volleyball, soccer, surfing, and diving.
I am fluent in Spanish, English and German and consider to study either medicine or teaching.

Después de terminar la secundaria, pasaré un tiempo viajando por América Central antes de asistir a la Universidad.
Mi pasión por América Latina surgió en 2015 cuando participé en un programa de intercambio que me hizo vivir en Panamá y Costa Rica durante un año. Desde entonces, estoy fortaleciendo mis lazos con América Central con respecto al idioma español, la cultura hispana y otros encuentros interculturales (como recibir estudiantes de otros países).
Además de ser piloto de planeadores, estoy loco por cualquier tipo de deporte, especialmente voleibol, fútbol, surf y buceo.
Hablo español, inglés y alemán con fluidez y considero estudiar medicina o enseñanza.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Hosting other people has always been normal in my family, we have already had students from Costa Rica, Brazil, the US, Denmark, Croatia, Poland, Dominican Republic... some even for several months!
But even though I already stayed abroad with local families, it will be my first time using CouchSurfing this year.
Traveling is not about the places you go, but the people you meet and the experiences you make. I want to become part of an international community, make new friends and take part in the process of intercultural understanding.

Alojar otras personas siempre ha sido normal en mi familia. Ya hemos tenido estudiantes de Costa Rica, Brasil, Estados Unidos, Dinamarca, Croacia, Polania, Republica Dominicana… algunos por varios meses!
Pero aunque ya me quedé en el extranjero con familias locales, será la primera vez que use CouchSurfing este año.
Viajar no se trata de los lugares a los que vayas, sino de las personas que conoces y las experiencias que haces. Quiero formar parte de una comunidad internacional, hacer nuevos amigos y participar en el proceso de comprensión intercultural.
