About Me
Hello everybody !
My name is Julian, I am 31 years old and I live in the beautiful Alps of Austria. One year ago, I moved from the countryside in Salzburg to the city of Graz for occupational change.
I have always loved to travel and I have always known that someday I'd start my big journey around the world. So after years of saving money, I finally made the dream of my life come true and started travelling the world in 2016. I spent 16 months travelling in North America, Australia, New Zealand, South East- and East Asia. Going on this journey was definitely one of the best decisions in my life and I have never regretted it.
I made heaps of beautiful and unforgettable experiences with Couchsurfing throughout my travels and I am looking forward to many more coming.
Well, I am not very good at describing myself. I would say that I am a calm and flexible person, clean, open minded, easy to get along with and I always treat other's home the way I want my own to be treated. Guess I am not always the one bang on time, but keep trying my best Haha. I enjoy having deep conversations but also laughing over the less meaningful words sometimes and simply have some fun.
For me, as a passionate traveller, showing respect to different people and cultures just goes without saying and is the utter minimum, especially if someone invites to stay at their home.
In my spare time I love to spend time with my friends and family, hang around and play games, go out for a run or a nice hike, chill out at the lake of my village having a swim and playing beach volleyball.
I do also enjoy the occasional time for myself to settle down and relax.
So yeah, I'm really looking forward to getting to know many more people through this amazing community ! Hope to see you soon :-)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I am on Couchsurfing because I think it's a win-win situation for both host and surfer that includes lots of things that, in my opinion, travelling is about: meeting nice people all over the world, learning about different cultures, creating new friendships, collecting international contacts, improving language skills, getting insider tips and advice from locals and saving money for accommodation at the same time.
After returning from my trip I was very happy to host a few people and return the favours I had received before. Unfortunately I can only do this on very limited capacity as my current living situation is not very suitable for this. However, I am looking forward to catching up on this as soon as circumstances allow so.

Music, Movies, and Books
Hmm hard to say, there isn't any genre I'd say that I hate. It always depends on my mood and changes regularly. I love listening to music and I rather watch a movie than I read a book, guess I should work on that Haha
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Leaving the safe harbor to see the world ! That was definitely one of the best decisions in my life.
