I get really enthusiastic about people talking about their country and the people. There's no better way to understand society.

Music, Movies, and Books

I adore movies like "once" or "into the wild". They're able to disclose a part of yourself you didn't knows so far. When I was younger, I also appreciated "dead poets society" but nowadays the film seems far too simple for me. But hey, I would love to discuss about that!

Also, I'm a huge fan of classic writers such as Proust, Balzac or even Faulkner. They have always had a great influence on me. Which doesn't mean that I ignore modern writing. In my opinion, Teju Cole, Zadie Smith and Clemens Setz (Young Austrian writer who is unfortunately still nearly unknown outside the erman speaking countries) are amazing writers.

As for music, I should only mention bands like Sigur Ros, Radiohead or the National along with singer/songwriters like Sufjan Stevens.
