About Me
December 2016 update: Recently moved to Singapore and currently don't have a place of our own to share with fellow CSers. So, we unfortunately can't host at this time :(hopefully that changes soon!)
I'm a happy-go-lucky person who loves to build, cook, and travel; the simple things in life are the best after all. If I'm not busy getting my hands dirty with grease, sawdust, paint or metal shavings, chances are my knees are muddy from exploring.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Although my Couchsurfing account is newish (it's about time!), I've surfed with others and hosted many travelers with my roommates and friends throughout the years. Outside of Couchsurfing, many people have hosted me on my travels and I'm only too happy to repay the favour. If you're travelling, clean, and considerate, then don't hesitate to get in touch!
I'm also often thinking about travelling (you know that feeling when you get back from a trip and the following weeks and months just have you itching to get back out there?) and really love going to a destination and discovering it (as often as possible) through the eyes of someone who lives there.

- Sports (soccer, snowboarding, biking to get around, learning to surf and would love to learn kitesurfing, volleyball, snorkeling... you name it)
- DIY (bicycle building and repairs, making and repairing lamps and furniture, learning to weld, slowly learning how to code/program, recently started learning guitar after repairing one I found in the trash)

Music, Movies, and Books
Music, huh? Too many to count. I have discovered that I'm a sucker for some subtle steel drums on a track. Do note that I'm terrible with names and have no capacity for keeping track of who created what.
As for movies: crappy action movies from the 90s, "indie" films, animated flicks, foreign films... lots of stuff really. I probably watch one movie a week on average (including when I get a bad flu and watch back to back movies).
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Buuuuh? I built a fishtail surfboard from scratch with a friend one time? I survived sticking my fingers in live wires and getting shocked by 220V when I was around one year old?
Teach, Learn, Share
I love learning and teaching and I've amassed a lot of varied (but not necessary deep) knowledge on many things thanks to my love for Googling, Wikipedia-ing, and instructional YouTube videos.
You name it, chances are I know just enough about it for us to have a conversation or try to build or repair something... or at least I'll have an idea of where to go to learn more about the topic. And I'm always ready to have others teach me more.
Learn like you'll live forever; live like you'll die tomorrow.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I'm always keen to help you fix or build something you need around your house. I'm rather useful in the kitchen and make a good sous-chef or cook, as needed. I'm also a water-saving dish doer and stack the dishes efficiently in the drying rack (I've been referred to as "the builder").
If you need something (legal) from where I'm coming from, don't hesitate to let me know!
