Hi, I'm Julian, 25 years old and I've been living in Tokyo for the past two years! I'm in Basel now because of the current covid situation.
I fell in love with Japan on my 3 months trip through the whole country and I'm planning to move back there when the covid situation is better again (hopefully soon) .

I want to meet local people so I can learn about their culture, improve my language skills and discover many interesting places! Also, I want to host fellow travelers as soon as I have a place where I can do that.

兴趣

I really love to travel and to learn about different cultures. I am also really ambitious about learning new languages as I just like to talk to people in their mother tongue and as you can learn much more about foreign cultures through their language. Other than that I play a lot of Snooker/Billiards and I basically love doing all kinds of sports. I like to read too, but due to my other hobbies I pretty much don't have the time to do so.
Oh, and I also love to cook, but just like reading, I often don't have enough time, so I just create some easy and fast meals. From time to time though, when I've got a day off and nothing to do, I make some Sushi and enjoy them with my Japanese snooker buddy. :-)

音乐、电影和书籍

As for music, I almost only listen to Jazz and one of my favourite bands are 'Art Blakey & The Jazz Messengers'. My father is a professional Jazz musician so I obviously love to listen to him playing too (although I can't often do so as he's living in Spain).

I'm not much of a movie watcher, so I haven't seen many classics. I have recently watched some movies from Hirokazu Koreeda (是枝 裕和) and I really liked them, so he might become one of my favourite directors. I also loved all the Ghibli movies so far, although I haven't seen many of them yet (but I certainly will watch the others in the future).

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

One summer month a few years ago I've travelled together with my father through the whole mediterranean coast (Spain) by caravan, which was pretty awesome. The next amazing thing was my 3 months trip through whole Japan, in which I got to know so many amazing people through this great network!

Also, I won the Team Swiss Championship in Billiards with a fantastic team consisting of great friends of mine. :-)
(And just recently I won the 6 Reds Snooker Swiss Championship)

I can teach you some German and Spanish which are my two native languages. I can also teach you to play Billiards if you've got any interest in that. Haha

I love to learn new languages and I'm currently studying Japanese (and just started with Chinese too), so if any host/surfer can help me out in the time we're together, I won't say no. Also, if you have some recipes from your country's national dishes I'd be happy to learn how to cook them.
