About Me

I am a fun guy, a pun guy (this is the worst one - I promise), active, love to visit new places & meet new people. I think traveling is the best thing in the world and couchsurfing is one of the coolest ways to travel.

Eventhough this profile was made in 2016, I have been couchsurfing a lot since 2014. I always travelled with people (most of the time my girlfriend Anne) so I never felt the urge to set up a profile.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

In my years of surfing I have not had one bad experience. I met amazing people in Ruanda, Tanzania, Spain and Germany (hope to enlarge this list very soon!).
In my opinion couchsurfing is just a gathering place for cool, open-minded, travelling people (probably just like you, who is reading this right now) :-)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Planning and building a playground in Uganda, only with the help of Anne and the children we were building it for :)

Blog: www.abatovolunteers.blogspot.com (It is all in German I am afraid but you can check out the many pictures or ask me about it if you're interested)

Teach, Learn, Share

I guess I could teach you some german recipes (depending on the ingredients we can buy) or I could teach you some german (if you want to walk down this terribly harsh path of a language).

I want to learn as much as possible and I also love to share my stories and experiences. I could probably link you up with my friends all over the world if you want to, so you know people where you can stay next :)

Oh and if you visit me in Germany I can of course help with organizational stuff, like where to go next, how to get there etc.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'd say I am an easy to get along guy, that doesn't need much and I am genuinely interested in meeting you if I ask to stay with you :-) I am always trying to give something back to my host, this is usually very easy since everybody here has been great to me thus far.

I am a volunteer coordinator for an organization in Uganda so if you're interested in working with children in a rural ugandan school I am your guy :)
