ABOUT ME

My name is Julián Fuentes, I am a Mexican student currently finishing my degree in Chemical Engineering. I am a really open person willing to meet people from all around the world. I am easy-going, a person who you can trust without any doubt, and pretty funny once we get to know each other.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I used CS a couple of times when I was living in France and it was an amazing experience. I got to know so many interesting persons and made some lasting friendships. I have to admit that I left CS for a while, but now I'm eager to use it again!

Interests

My interests are natural sciences (my current focus is in the area of biotechnology), history (specially the Middle-East), art ,all kinds of museums, travelling around the world, gastronomy, red wine and chocolate!!

Music, Movies, and Books

- I like all kinds of music. My favorite band is Pearl Jam but I also like listening to jazz (Miles Davis specially), blues, Chopin, Satie, electronic music, regetón (depends on my mood).
-Inception, The Departed (Martin Scorsese films), spy films, The Godfather and Indiana Jones.
-Fahrenheit 451, L'Étranger, The Physician, Tintin, Foundation Trilogy...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The most amazing places that I've known so far are Capadocia in Turkey, Machu Picchu in Peru, and the ruins of Angkor. I also think that Mexico, the country where I'm from, is really incredible (Palenque, Bacalar, Mexico City, Oaxaca, Mérida and many more)!
My favorite experiences have been swimming in Les Calanques near Marseille, watching the sunrise at Angkor Wat, visiting the royal tombs of Hue, seeing the autmn colors in Quebec, relaxing in Luang Prabang, and visiting Palenque and Oaxaca in Mexico.
