About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To live my dreams... and better if they are in a summit of some breathtaking mountain!

ABOUT ME

Describing myself is not only a tough thing to do, but a completely strange mix of things and activities:

Lawyer, backpacker, failedwriter, daydreamer, occasional hiker, amateur cyclist, sporadic camper, couchi, keen traveler, runner, noob mountaineer, daily swimmer.

Despite my profession, I'm madly in love with the trekking and hiking activities (and also with swimming). I consider myself a consagrated reader and an amateur writer.
I'm the older brother of 3 sons... I like to learn languages and I try to practice them every time I can. Nowadays I work at the Ministry of Finance and Public Credit of Colombia.

And well... in short, I'm an unpredictable lawyer, who really likes outdoor's activities, who needs constantly to breath the fresh air of the mountains.

PHILOSOPHY

Be happy doing what you do, and thinking what you want to.
Share with the others and learn from them, learn from every single thing on earth and outside it.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I joined this great community to show the world that we can make it better, that we can be trustfull. I want to show my country, and the good people that the Colombians are.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I just love Couchsurfing.

Remarkable experiences could I tell about Roma, where the dream team of the couchsurfers received me and my brother, at Lido di Ostia. They have a huge place, with a lot of room, and all of them are available for couchsurfers. An amazing experience.

Interests

I'm interested in reading and writing.
In study, in talk with the people... in share experiences. I like to teach others what I know and I definately want to learn from others' knowledge and experiences.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Jazz, Soul, Reggae, Ska and Dub are among my favorites. Nonetheless I can enjoy every piece of music for sure!

Books: The words and pages are a very important part and protagonist of my day to day life. I have had always a book (doesn't really matter which one) with me, as my loyal company. My favorite authors are from Latinamerica, and I can -without a single doubt of interest- start a conversation about Borges, Cortázar, García Márquez, Octavio Paz, Augusto Monterroso or Vargas Llosa. Despite my preferences, nowadays I'm exploring authors from other latitudes. Murakami, Canetti, Adonis (talking about poetry) and Kadare have been an incredible discovery.

Movies: Clockwork Orange and Indigo Mood are in the top of the perfection (being completly different styles and storylines). The rest, are simply good.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

During December, January and February 2015 I travelled trough southamerica. Visiting amazing places and getting in touch with amazing people. I found myself within a magical context, which none of the latinamerican authors could describe. Even when I'm Colombian, Latinamerica was such a great surprise and discovery. I could say my Southamerica trip definitely changed my perspective of life.

My Eurotrip was definitely something special in my life. My life in Germany was an entire life learning.

Teach, Learn, Share

I want to learn languages or practice them. I like to teach other people about history, or about my country, even my language, of course.
I want to make this experience a really good and learning process.
