ABOUT ME

Hola!
My name is Julian, very nice to meet you!
I was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and I grew up in Tuscany, Italy; now based in Sweden.
I'm a passionate argentine tango dancer and teacher, musician, and a just-started entrepreneur in the fields of sustainable development and crowdfunding.
I love jazz, my guitars, good wine, yoga, meditation, the smell of the woods after an intense rain, books and...and dancing! Tango is a magical silent ritual between two souls. If learning Tango is not in your bucket list, then you don't have a bucket list :).
I am the co-founder of Tuscany's geolocalized crowdfunding platform, Mecenup.
I profoundly believe in the positive impact that localized social entrepreneurship can have in shaping our territories. Our crowdfunding platform helps to finance social projects that would not find support through traditional financial approaches.
If you are into arts, creativity, sustainability, yoga, or any combination of the previous, we should definitely meet up :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I usually try to give all the help I can, and to put my skills and abilities at the service of my wonderful hosts.
I really don't think that taking pictures to monuments brings you to understand a certain place, or its people. You need to live with them, talk with them, understand their values, their dreams, hopes and fears. This is the closest way I know so far to be able to get to know someone in these ways. I haven't used it much so far, but I promise I will try to change this! :)
