About Me
Oie!
Eu sou Juliana e não sou um ho(s)tel.
Hey there!
I've lived in Brazil my entire life, except for 6 months in France in 2015. Despite my background in Law School (graduated and all - spoiler, I hate everything about it), I nowadays work as an English teacher. I'm back to university, now studying Portuguese, English and Literature. I've been fascinated by languages since I was a girl, cause it allows me to peek into other worlds and cultures. The same about travelling! :))
I love being around nature: trekking, cycling, swimming, camping, bird-watching... Oh, I love animals and wish them all free! I've been vegan for 3 years now :) I really enjoy cooking, so as a guest/host I can cook plant-based food! As a side job I sew and sell cloth pads, and I've been trying to live a more minimalist and natural life. I'd love to talk about that if you're interested :)
I'd say I'm quite a chilled out girl who likes to be surrounded by books, nature, art... Silence is very important to me, it's like a way to recharge my inner batteries, to take a look inside me and my needs. But of course, I don't like silence all the time! I also enjoy being surrounded by nice people who can listen (and not only speak) and have sincere deep conversations. Oh and dancing! I've been practicing circus arts as an aerial dancer for 3 years and I love performing :) In my practice, I frequently have to deal with my fears and anxiety and doing that makes me feel powerful, strong and proud!
I've been living by myself for 7 years now, and I'm totally able to take care of a household. I'm really organized and neat and I can help taking care of the house, plants and pets if needed.
As a traveler, I love walking around, cause it allows me to pay attention to details and the people who walk by. I love street art, hidden spots, parks, markets, museums...

Hola!
Soy feminista interseccional, antifacista y antiespecista.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Volunteer work helping criminally accused people who didn't have a proper lawyer, deciding to change careers, hard-level trekking for 6 hours in the middle of the Atlantic Forest with no experience and just a significant other around, traveling by myself for three weeks and doing workaway...
Teach, Learn, Share
I believe meeting people and trying out new angles to life broadens the mind and the soul as well as develops further empathy. We can all learn something from each other, all the time, and that's what I'm constantly seeking in my life. Let's share! :)
What I Can Share with Hosts
Language teaching, vegan cooking, pet care, tips on natural household, cloth pads made by me, a non-judgemental ear :))
