About Me

English teacher living in São Paulo. I teach English for both adults and children (children in a Waldorf school). I'm always reading, teaching, studying, practicing Yoga and working out whenever I find the time, playing the guitar and singing to myself... I also enjoy cooking, a lot!
I'm easy-going but kind of shy, sometimes, and very careful with other people's boundaries (making people uncomfortable is my worst nightmare). I love pets! I have two cats now, Mabel and Maria, but I miss having dogs. Since I live in an apartment in São Paulo, I don't want to have a dog without having a big yard for them to play...
I love being around nature but living downtown I can only grow plants in vases. I grew up in a farm house so I miss it a lot, being around animals and plants.
I also write a lot! One day, I want to be a (real) writer. I finished NaNoWriMo last year and I want to do it this year to, so I'm preppin'!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I got tired of waiting for my friends to go traveling with me, and, since I'm a little insecure about traveling by myself and being somewhere all by myself, this seemed like a good way to make new friends and meet new places!

Music, Movies, and Books

Lately I've been listening to a lot of Placebo, Queen, Studio Killers and Sia. Favorite movies are, among others: Magnolia, Imaginary Heroes, Fur, and books: some Anne Rice here, some Harry Potter there, Guimarães Rosa and Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrel. Oh, and Neil Gaiman. I thank the universe for Neil Gaiman and Amanda Palmer every day.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I finished NaNoWriMo2015! Fifty thousand words in a month! I'm still in awe of it tbh haha

Teach, Learn, Share

I like teaching languages, but I'll happily share anything I know about anything. I'm very nerdy, I'm always reading and researching curious things, so my interests are very wide.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can cook fairly well, I sing a little bit, sometimes, and play the guitar some. Also, I love teaching languages, so that's something I'll gladly do!

Countries I’ve Visited

Argentina, Chile, Portugal, Spain, Uruguay
