About Me

San Sebastian (Spain) is my hometown, but i'm currently living in Torquay (UK) for work. I'm a happy, easy-going and open-minded person always glad to meet new people, immerse myself in new cultures and traditions and ready to travel to new places around the world as long as my responsabilities allow me to.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love travelling but sometimes I find it difficult because of accomodation high prices. Couchsurfing is a great opporunity for me to travel within my budget and I also find this opportunity so interesting because of the chance of meeting local people, which is sometimes difficult when you stay at hostels/hotels.

Interests

As everyone here, I love travelling and meeting new people. I also enjoy reading, writing, music, cinema, theatre and culture in general. I'm passionate about art, design, advertising, journalism and marketing, and I'm happy I can make a living doing what I enjoy. I have never been a big fan of countryside and sports, but I have wonderdul people around me teaching me to enjoy nature and body care, and I'm starting to like it :)

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: pop/rock in Spanish and Enlgish. I love The Kooks, Foo Fighters, Queen, The Beatles, Kings of leon, Crystal Fighters, Russian Red, Natalia Lafourcade, Gustavo Cerati, Fito Paez, Joaquin Sabina, Fito y Fitipaldis… and I’m always open to discover new bands! :) I also love latin music when partying!

Films: wow, this is a difficult one. I would always recommend ‘Herois’ (a catalan film), Volver, Al sur de Granada, Star Wars, American Beauty, Amelie, Fightclub, American History X, Shutter Island, Someone flew over the cuckoo’s nest, Breakfast at Tiffany’s, Dead Poets Society, Frida, An Education, El secreto de sus ojos…well, so many. I have recently watched Boyhood, Wolf of wall street and Selma and I enjoyed them a lot!

Books: I recently read ‘La catedral del mar’ (Cathedral of the Sea) and I completely recommend it. I’m also a Harry Potter kid :) and I love ‘Cien anos de soledad’ (One hundred years of solitude), La casa de los espiritus (The house of the spirits), ‘Lo que le falta al tiempo’ (What time is missing), ‘De los amores negados’ (Of Useless loves)... I love Spanish/latin american literature, it’s my favourite one :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Give a speech in the European Parliament when I was 18
Educate my dog :) (this is the most wonderful thing ever)
Spend the summer solstice in Stonehenge
Meet Angela Becerra (one of my favourite novel authors)
Attend 15-M meetings and at least try to change things listening and giving my opinion!
Attend 'The Lion King' in Broadway (a dream come true)
Go to the Niagara Falls...woooow!

Teach, Learn, Share

I don't feel I can really teach anything :( But I'm always learning things from everybody and I love it, especially when it comes to nature and body care. I can share my experiences and my philosophy and I always love when I have feedback
