Hello! My name is Julie. I'm from New York, and I've just completed a Masters course in History and Philosophy of Science. I'm spending the next two months cycling around Europe! I'm queer and especially interested in meeting other LGBTQ people!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I really love meeting new people! I've had really great experiences couchsurfing in Mexico and El Salvador - I love meeting locals and learning about new cities.

I'm cycling on quite a small budget, but am happy to share my own stories, culture, and (even) cooking!

Interests

As for my academic interests, I've just written my Masters dissertation on the history of psychoanalysis and psychiatry in the U.K. I'll be going on to doctoral work in 2020, and am more broadly interested in history of medicine, historical epistemology, and histories of pseudoscience.
