About Me

My name is Juliana and I am a master's degree student at National Aviation University in Kyiv, Computer science, but also already a busy working person, working as a frontend developer.
I have never used Couchsurfing for being hosted, always travelling in my own way(with booking.com especially)
I am from a very beautiful city in the west of Ukraine called Chernivtsi(Чернівці, Czernowitz, Cernăuți, Czerniowce), which is close to the border with Romania. I was born in Chernivtsi but after school understood that this city is too small for me, and moved for studies to Poland, Warsaw. I was studying there for a year, after which I understood that economics doesn't suit me and I want to change something in my country instead of leaving it, so I moved back to my country but already to the capital of Ukraine, to Kyiv and started my computer science studies.
I am easygoing and calm hooman, but when I am late to somewhere( for the plane, train or work for example) you can see my Dark side of the moon.
When I am not coding I am cooking, Italian cuisine especially. When I am not eating and sleeping trying to do my best in creating my life the way I feel and how I want it to live! From recent achievements - I didn't quit with half marathon, I mean a ran it from the start to the finish, so as you see the sport also takes part in my life.
I started to travel before it became popular, so guys don't tell me how awful your trip was with your low battery smartphone - I had that Nokia, and I had it since my school years till two-years-ago term.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

The first time I heard about Couchsurfing was when my friend in Chernivtsi was going to host a guy from Poland. I don't know why but I wasn't scary to accept the request of this completely strange for me person. I am really happy now that I listened to my gut that moment. Because we made for him a really cool tour through our city and spent a good time together, ending the day with "Riders on the storm" song on the porch of the somewhat destroyed beautiful gothic church in Chernivtsi. And you know, that feeling afterwards, that you made just a little but it was unforgettably great.
