About Me

Hey, there!

I'm completely passionate about travelling! I love the chance to learn about different cultures, getting to know new places, people and food. ♡

I've been teaching English since I was 16 (I started teaching kids).
I've worked in marketing for 6 years, but I have recently given it up and now I'm trying to work with something that I love and that makes me feel good about my job. That something is cooking! So I've started a small catering company with a friend a year ago. Still trying to make that happen, but teaching currently pays my bills again (and I'm happy about that!)

I consider myself a foodie. But for me, it's not really about fancy restaurants and expensive food. It's about ingredient quality and passion for the process of cooking.

I also love singing. (Not sure if people love listening to me though) ;P
I sing in a band just for the fun. ♡

Love all forms of art, but my hearts beats faster for music and theatre.

(The only reason I don't accept guests yet is because I share a home with other people, but I am more than available to meet people in my hometown, show them around and give tips on what to do in the city!)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm about to start a trip in Europe to learn some cooking. I had a fantastic Couchsurfing recommendation from a friend... and here I am. ;)

Music, Movies, and Books

I love music! And I could go on and on about artists and genres but let me just say that my favourite are Hozier and a Brazilian band called Cordel do Fogo Encantado.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

♡ I've recently been to the Amazon Forest in Para, a wonderful state in the north of Brazil. I was completely amazed by the natural landscapes, the food and the people there.
♡ Fringe Festival in Edinburgh.
♡ Cliffs of Moher in Ireland.
♡ My favourite view in the world is the sunset on top of Sugar Loaf in Rio de Janeiro.
♡ I've recorded a backing vocal track professionally once and it was pretty cool (the song was lame though) :P
♡ I got pretty shook in front of Van Gogh's Starry Night. It was a dream come true to me.
