Hello!

I normally feel like these areas are used for introduction, but most of my information is posted in my information. For a little more detail, I was born and raised in Berkeley California. I now attend UC Berkeley, studying EECS (Electrical Engineering and Computer Science). I have studied Chinese for 5 years now and can hold a conversation well in Mandarin. I am interested in learning more languages, but have not studied any others yet.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am on Couchsurfing to meet people and travel the world. I believe that the best way to see the world is to meet people and what better way is there to meet people than to stay with them?

Interests

Its hard for me to list all of my interests in one place because I have so many. I am happy to talk about anything and everything.

I am currently studying computer science at UC Berkeley and I am very interested in tech, but I am also very interested in science and the humanities. I love going to the theatre and seeing plays. I believe that it is one of the best ways to connect to and analyze the human condition.

Music, Movies, and Books

Favorites have always been a challenge for me, because there is so much wonderful art out there.

I can list a couple books that I have really enjoyed:
The Thirteen and a Half Lives of Captain Bluebear
Catch 22 by Joseph Heller
The Book Thief by Markus Zusak

My music interests are all over, but most commonly I enjoy indie music such as Guster or Alt-J. I am always happy to be introduced to new music.

As for movies, I am similarly all over the board. I particularly like quirky movies like Moonrise Kingdom, or cult movies like The Big Lebowski or Rocky Horror Picture Show. Even still, it is the rare occasion that I dislike a film.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am always happy to share my travel experiences with anyone, but I am not sure what I have to offer that is particularly special.

I am always happy to help out with cooking or any other chores around the house. Additionally, I am very good at troubleshooting computers and I would be happy to solve any tech issues you may have.
