About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To learn about the world through interaction.

ABOUT ME

I am a photographer as well as a painter and my first home is in Kenya while my second home is in Germany. I am open-minded, curious, extroverted-introvert with a passion for nature and wildlife and this is what I photograph the most. I enjoy sharing experiences or stories with people and I believe that this how you get to know a person as well as grow.
Mindfulness and conscious living are the foundations of my life. I believe that our actions not only affect us but also the people and the environment around us. I also believe in synchronicity, the law of attraction and that we have the power to shape the world we live in.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm on CS because I believe in community living and I have shared living spaces my entire adulthood. Sometimes it has been with my cousins and sometimes with complete strangers who have turned out to be friends to this day. When at home, I like to share conversations to catch up about the day or perhaps play some board games. I also like to hangout in my room, mostly I’m editing photographs, painting or engaging with online creative communities that I am a part of. I like cooking and sharing meals together when possible and generally I’m a tidy person (but not obsessive). I clean my dishes and pick up after myself and sometimes for others.

When it comes to my outdoor life, I enjoy meeting up with family and friends, going for random adventures, exploring nature or the urban environments, attending some creative artsy events and most often bringing my camera along. I love doing creative shoots with makeup artists, musicians and filmmakers. Also, I love creating with my hands by painting or building with wood and metal, this is quite fulfilling. I am also a bit of a foodie and I like to try out different types of meals and snacks.

I hope you find that we can live well together and you are interested in making a new friend.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have had the chance to host and be hosted as well as interact with a lot of surfers, both local and from around the world. My experience has been overall positive and I am grateful for all the people who have come into my life through couch surfing.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm working on a portraiture photography and video series based on the people i meet through couch surfing and for this series i'm focusing on guests and hosts. I seek to capture the many amazing people i meet through CS and celebrate both traveler and host for having the guts to leave their comfort zone to either travel to somewhere new or to host a complete stranger, i believe that this builds a sense of trust across races, religions and social backgrounds and i also believe that this will ultimately unite the entire world. I wish to amplify this message through this photography series.
