Overview
About Me
I want to experience as much of what this world has to offer as possible. If I haven't tried it yet, there is a good chance I plan to somewhere down the road. While I have lived in Canada for my whole life, I run away to explore elsewhere as often as possible and, now that I'm done my degree, I am making my plans to move to another country (probably Spain). I want to spend much of my life living in different countries, experiencing and learning all I can. This world excites me like nothing else. In general though I am a fairly excitable human. There is just so much in this beautiful world to take joy in! Most people know me for being sunshiny, joyful, and having an immense capacity to find the positive in all situations. I am very adventurous (sometimes a bit too adventurous), am open minded and progressive, live a highly active and social lifestyle, am listening to music at all times, am outdoors as much as possible, and like to try new things whenever possible. Also sooooooo into food. All the time. You will almost never find me without a snack in hand (eating spoonfuls of peanut butter while I write this).
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm new to Couchsurfing but very excited at the prospect of getting more of a local experience and meeting rad new like-minded humans while traveling. Music, Movies, and Books
I'll go through crazy different phases with music, listen to just about everything and am constantly exploring new music.
I don't watch much TV or movies, there are too many more interesting things to do with my time I find! But, when I do watch the odd episode/movie its usually cartoons and anime such as Disney/Pixar movies or Adventure Time/The Last Airbender hehe. Forever a kid at heart. I get enough adult life in the real world so the kid stuff is the true escape for me.
As for books, my current favorite author is Brandon Sanderson. He has an incredible talent for creating MASSIVE series filled with the most intricately woven stories in highly imaginative worlds that highlight a lot of real world philosophy, social controversy, and politics. His work tends to inspire a lot of deep thought and is just a hella good time to read.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I feel pretty lucky to have experienced so very many amazing things in my life, how to pick just one?! Might as well just go with the first one that popped into my brain: swimming in a mud filled tiny pitch black cave in Vietnam. It's almost ridiculous how much joy that experience filled me with.
Oh wait, thought of another arguably more amazing thing, fireeee dancinggggg with staff. Learned in Thailand and plan to keep up the hobby for life.
Teach, Learn, Share
I could teach yoga, basic guitar and ukelele, basic staff fire dancing. Also happy to learn more in any of those areas! As for learning, honestly I love to learn, everything, (almost) all the time. Very much want to expand my understanding of different languages, so always happy to learn bits and pieces whenever I can! Also about to jump on the Spanish train so if I can practice with you that's super rad.
What I Can Share with Hosts
My sunshine, my stories, my music, my food, my life philosophies, my laughter, my writing, and anything else I am capable of sharing I am happy to! Sharing is caring after all. :P
