ABOUT ME

"If life gives you lemons, make lemonade." This sums me up. I am quite successful in finding the best of situations and people. I find it a waste to dwell on life's misfortunes and things that cannot be changed so I instead focus on the positive things life has to offer. I love trying new things, meeting new people, exploring new places. In the summer time you will find me at the beach, hiking in the woods, at an outdoor festival, or walking my pooch. Winter time I am snuggled up on the couch watching movies,reading, and of course still walking my pooch. I love food, everything about it. Cooking it, eating it, trying new types. I live a simple, happy life that I absolutely love.

PHILOSOPHY

the golden rule, do to others what you would have them do to you . cliche? yes! but its such a simple concept that people lack. kindness and consideration need to make a comeback, they have fallen to the wayside.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

i dont have any traveling plans in my near future, so for now it is just hosting!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

a couple friends and i had our first experience couchsurfing in Portland. Our host was so generous and welcoming. he showed us around the city, took us for drinks, and even talked me into singing karoke. it was a great first experience!!!

people watching. its so entertaining to watch the way humans interact with one another, and its free :) unfortunate i make no attempt at being subtle while partaking in this favorite pastime of mine, which often ends with my subjects glaring at me. its all worth it though.

i also enjoy the outdoors and my pooch. she is my everything :-)

movies=sleep. i have a terrible habit of falling asleep within the first 20 minutes of the majority of films i watch. i do enjoy watching movies but it needs to be during the day when i am fully rested. i have the best chance of staying awake during depressing movies, a movie that makes you cry gets 5 stars from me!

i enjoy most music. some of my current favorites include band of horses, good old war, the jayhawks, Sigur Rós, animal collective, ray lamontagne

a few friends and i went on a road trip out west and its was incredible. bonding with them, seeing the beautiful sights, and meeting new people was incredible.
