I live in Marahau, this is a small village in a rural area at the entrance of the Abel Tasman National Park.
My place is a house bus and it has a spare bed for 1 guest. As you can expect from a bus, it is only one big room, still big enough to accommodate 3 adults and 2 kids.

If you travelling with friends, or you prefer privacy , there is a beautiful piece of lawn next to the bus with a fire pit where you can set up a tent and have access to use the facilities.

Be aware that is not supermarkets in Marahau, only one small shop with basics, very expensive!! So I would recommend to get your groceries from out of town.

Marahau is the gateaway for all the tourist activities into the park, tramping, kayaking, fishing, aquataxis, canyoning, sailing, kitesurfing, etc. I 'll be happy to help around and point you out the easy way to get out there.
