Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To get the most from life, care for people, and to find out as much about our world as possible.
ABOUT ME
I'm a fun, easygoing, high-energy, yet relaxed gal who likes to have a great time with other people of all types. I'm pretty casual at home and have a great couch. There are dogs and cats and fish to entertain you at my place.
PHILOSOPHY
If each of us tries to make the world a better place for others, then we'll all be a lot better off. I don't mind sharing what I have with others, because it makes me feel good to share. Also, life is a big party. I'm here to have fun!!!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I enjoy hanging out with the local CS community. They're tons of fun. I also really enjoy hosting and have had really great experiences so far.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I couch surfed before it was a website, because I was a poor college student in the 1980s and wanted to travel. I've always preferred staying with locals rather than locking myself away in a boring hotel. My favorite experience so far, however, was when I had 3 surfers here during that awful, despicable RNC. They were awesome, and I learned so much from listening to their points of view.
Interests
Backpacking in the woods, salsa dancing, running marathons slowly, coffee, happy hour, having fun times with friends, travel.

Music, Movies, and Books
I love all kinds of music and can barely go on a run without it. Running without my iPod shuffle is a bit like running without shoes. Painful and not worth the trouble.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Run several marathons after losing a significant amount of weight. Nothing beats the satisfaction of completing a first marathon! Seeing wild elephants in Kenya is a close second.
