About Me

Hi my name is Julian, for the last 6 months I have been working as a health volunteer for an american organization in Mozambique. I am moving back to the U.S. in 2017 and would like to travel to Europe before then (Nov-Jan 2016). When traveling I appreciate meeting locals, as opposed to paying my way through tourism....doesnt leave me too satisfied Ive noticed. I'd rather post up at a cafe and read a book and people watch. But even better I'd prefer to have conversation with someone.

Traveling alone is pretty amazing mostly because I can make things pretty cheap, but more importantly it forces me to reach out to people and talk to them. I would love to share stories and hear about your worst nightmares or dreams! My personality is rather light so I enjoy joking around a lot and making people feel comfortable is important to me. I'm blind to race or sexual orientation I believe in the good nature of every human being and I will treat you with my respect and expect the same from you.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Meeting new people, sharing stories, making travel easier, cultural exchanges, exploring

Interests

I have a passion for food, fashion, reading, meditation, psychonautic discoveries, love for resourcefulness, drug reform and safety, previously studied kinesiology but I live for almost anything that I think will spur a kick in my curiosity

I'm pretty into exploring nature, whether that be through hiking, walking or sitting in the park, or just spacing out to a cacti. Meeting people who share a similar appreciation for nature is always super special.

Why/how are there still people on this earth in the 21st century that believe the world is a flat disc? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Modern_flat_Earth_societies

I like walking, I think theres something very meditative about it and riding around in the car from place to place can get tedious. So in my ideal world I would not own a car. As of 23 times around the sun I still have not owned a car (I have often borrowed friends cars so I can't say I've never driven one) and I hope to maintain that streak, although I do understand that situations and circumstances may require me to get one.
