About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Walk the Earth until I see myself reflected through the lens of another culture.
PHILOSOPHY
Be like water, think like river. Be graceful enough to move with each new situation presented to you without losing your sense of self. Understand that we're more similar than we are different and that nothing is more important than people. And never think yourself so very wise that you can feel as though you've made all of your decisions about how the universe works.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
When I was a kid, my mother and I were on a train to Salzburg and out of cash. We were invited into the home of a complete stranger to stay as long as we liked and enjoy Austrian hospitality. This was my first couch surfing experience, even before there was a couch surfing community.
For the last few years I lived in a very communal house in Sydney where we hosted many couch surfers. We never had a bad guest. I'd like to reflect that in m own experiences couch surfing elsewhere.
Interests
Staying up too late, laughing with new friends or playing music. Dragging your ass out of bed to go for a run the next morning. Climbing rocks, playing drums, reading the classics, leaning into the discomfort of yoga and learning to accept that you never know what's coming for you.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've swum across the Mekong. I've breathed the air at 4420 feet above sea level, chained to a rock face on the side of a mountain. I've stood on a stage and had people cheer for music I've created. I've talked my way out of a night in a Ukrainian prison. I've run 10lkms further than I thought I was capable of. I've held a child that's a half hour old. I've been truly, deeply in love.
Teach, Learn, Share
I play some guitar and I'm currently travelling with one. If you're interested I can share some terrible Australian tunes with you. Also, I can NOT share some terrible Australian tunes with you of that's better. Flexibility is key.
