ABOUT ME

I'm a mathematician, a classical guitarist, a lover of politics and history, and a bit of a romantic. But above all I am a man of ideas. I love the idea of a better world, the idea of true love, the idea of a perfect mathematical world, that mathematics can predict the future, the idea of a perfect technocratic political system without any oppression on minorities. Particularly I love (and live by) the idea that human beings can do almost anything they set their minds to.

I love being spontaneus, I absolutely love hitch hiking, and I adore a deep scientific or political discussion. Also nothing quite compares to a great weekend party after a hard weeks work.

Although I have to tell you that except for summertime and the short study breaks I'm a bit busy, so if it's not summer time, but I still host you, dobbelt check if I have time to hang out with you also. I work hard at my studies (which go beyond university courses) and I keep a small company for software development (www.blueanalysis.com).

Mathematics of course, politics, history (particularly biographies of great leaders), robot technology, meditation (I am one of the few people who actually manages to meditate 30 minutes alone every day..), hitch hiking (which I ABSOLUTELY LOVE) and cooking new interesting meals...

Musik, Filme und Bücher

Oh, where to start...

Music: Rock, Old School Rock, Soul... say U2, Coldplay, Radiohead, Beatles, Elton John, Bee Gees, Morphine, Linkin Park, Bonney M just to name a few.

Movies: Into the wild (of course), movies that provoke me, silly romantic movies to relax

Books: I love biographies of great politicians / leaders. Generally the more technical / geeky it gets the more interested I am. Crime novels and typical love stories usually bores me. Other than geeky stuff I also enjoy reading short stories from foreign authors

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

Been to small villages in Niger, with a voulentering project, where we met a lot of the local inhabitants. That was amazing.

Also amazing (but perhaps not so happy), getting really drunk in Russia with other couchsurfers. Drinking vodka like I've never done before, throwing up for 2 hours. Thinking I will never make it home, somehow I get into a taxi and make it all the way home to my host. Then 4 hours later (in the morning), I'm waking up with a huge hangover to an old angry russian man beating me with a stick, asking me what I'm doing in his house... Russian vodka and angry old man, what a horrible experience, but makes for a nice story :).
