About Me

Hello! My wife and I are almost empty-nesters- our son, Skylar, is a rising senior at Johnson and Wales. Our daughter, Gemma, is married and lives in Germany with her husband Xavier, and our grandbaby, Olivia. I was a classroom teacher for 20 years, a math curriculum specialist for 5, and I have been working with educational leaders to support best practices in classrooms for 8 years. My wife works with the Affordable Care Act.
We have a great guest room with a queen bed, and you can have your own full bathroom as well.
We are very easy going and love people. We do have two corgis, Bonus and Ivy, and they love everyone.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Right now (July 2015) I am looking for a place I can stay in Baltimore. My nephew is recovering from a bone marrow transplant, and I would like to stay close to Charles Village to help care for him when I can get there.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Recently I went to see the Boston Symphony Orchestra with my sister- that was pretty amazing!
I think that mostly I have spent time with amazing people more than doing amazing things. I also think that the recent Supreme Court decisions have been awesome to witness. Hearing Obama's first inauguration speech was amazing- I cried and cried from sheer awe. As you can probably guess, I am a liberal democrat, and I love my POTUS...
