About Me
CURRENT MISSION
meet good folks, explore, adventure, fill the world with kindness.
ABOUT ME
In 2015 I completed a masters program at the Yale School of the Environment, where my work focused on conflict resolution/mediation for complex environmental issues. Since then I have mostly lived in Oakland, California. I now work as a global community steward for the WordPress open source project (the mission of WordPress is to democratize publishing), and I have the good fortune of working closely with people who are based all over the world.
In 2008 I spent several months in Greece, where I helped build a creative arts retreat center according to principles of permaculture (sustainable agriculture/building/community) and dryland gardening. In 2009 I lived and worked at Sadhana Forest, an eco-community & reforestation project in Southeast India. Around this time I was introduced to CouchSurfing.
I'm passionate about music, friendship, compassion, riding bikes, time outdoors, and living richly and joyfully. I love to learn new things, meet people, and share ideas; and I’m always up for spontaneous adventures.
I’m queer and especially love to meet other queer folks around the world 💛

I like too much music to list, and love being introduced to new music. Here's a sampling (which may be outdated): http://www.last.fm/user/sparklinjules182
