About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To have fun and experience life while young and free! Also, to find our calling, inner peace, and live without regret.
ABOUT ME
I'm friendly, silly, sensitive, creative, a cat lover and a great vegan cook. I love to talk about nutrition and food, but am absolutely not into pushing or coercing others into a veg diet. I currently live in Portland, OR as a doula and nanny. I am working toward midwifery school, completing pre-reqs and such. I am of a creative, hands-on persuasion...loving to get dirty in the garden, cook and bake, crochet/knit, paint, sew, make jewelry, sing, create tea blends, compost, learn and use plants medicinally in salves and tinctures, brew kombucha, cuddle kitties...
I live and let live in general and especially with roommates. Unless you're hurting me or doing some kind of damage to someone/something, I'm pretty laid back and easy going. And I expect the same respect. I love a community feel within a house I'm living, with clear boundaries for easy communication and ease of cohabitation.
PHILOSOPHY
I live to give. I am a very giving soul, always wanting to give back to the community, care for others and spread the love :) Live with no regrets!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I have couch surfed before, loved it!! When I moved to PDX I moved in with a good friend who isn't quite open to couch surfers, so I am looking to now find a new house with CS friendly roommates.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Spent 2 nights in PDX with a wonderful lady, Beth Ann. It was so great!
Interests
I love crafts (jewelry, crochet/knitting, painting, sewing etc), cooking vegan food, zumba!, being in dappled sunlight, watching happy movies, and gardening. I love permaculture, homesteading, farming, food, composting, camping, you name it. I'm working on becoming a certified doula (labor and postpartum) and eventually a midwife.

Music, Movies, and Books
I'm definitely into sci-fies, or happy, funny, and possibly romantic movies. I find I just get too involved with the characters and get super sad if the movie is a depresser. I like non-fiction books that teach me about sustainable homesteading, birth, herbs, astrology or human psychology. Music tastes are all over the place--except not too much in the rap area. I like alternative, 90's, country, *folk*, things you can sing to.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
My best friend and I drove from Santa Barbara to Virginia and back to SB in 2004 and then again from SB to NYC and back in 2005. Two wonderfully liberating, eye opening, exciting, educational, (sometimes a bit dangerous) and priceless road trips!
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you how to crochet, or make vegan goodies like kale chips or sweets. Yum.
