Overview
About Me
I'm from a small rural town in the north east of the united states. I'm easy going and don't mind roughing it. I have a vintage camper that I renovated that I travel in when I'm in the states. When I'm traveling I especially love to find outdoor places to explore. I'm very self-sufficient and tend to be a little on the quiet side until I'm more comfortable and then I can get really talkative. I love to cook and make home. My favorite animal is a caddisfly larvae, they build homes around their bodies out of the materials they find around them.
I have a meditation and improvisational dance practice that informs a lot of my friendships, writing, politics and art.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
While traveling through Central America and the united states in my 20s I would often hitchhike and end up camping or staying in the homes of people I met along the way. After a lot of traveling I hosted folks in a cabin I built with my partner at the time and then used CouchSurfing in Mexico to travel along the east coast and stay in San Cristobal for three weeks. It feels important to me to connect with folks in this way and open our homes to each other, outside of the exchange of money. It's been a long time since I've used CS and I'm happy to see it's still surviving despite the pandemic and the increase in airbnb's throughout the world.
