About Me

I'm an open-minded and social person who loves to be spontaneous. The best decisions I've ever taken have often been the ones I took under the impulse of the moment.

Right now I am a student of the wonderful handicraft of making books. It's a beautiful and sometimes quite meditative way of exploring this - even in these digital times - still so important and fascinating artifact.

I really like to travel and explore new places. For me one of the most important things while traveling are the people I meet on my way cause they make the journey special. So I'm always happy about inspiring encounters and insights into foreign cultures and customs. Be it by traveling around the world or by hosting the very same at my house.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

It is such inspiring to get to know new cultures and new people. I haven't used Couchsurfing much yet. But I think it gives you the opportunity to get some first-hand experiences that you wouldn’t have if you just would go for sightseeing. Who could tell you where to find the most beautiful view over the city/landscape, where to get the best food in town or what to do on a cold rainy day if not a local? Couchsurfing makes it possible to get to know a place more from the inside than just from the outside.

Music, Movies, and Books

Because there are so many wonderful books it is really hard to say which one is my favourite one...
For me reading books is another way of traveling.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One of the most fascinating places I have ever been at is the Valle rojo in Peru. Vastness, magic, harmony. Are only some of the things I found there.

Teach, Learn, Share

Try to enjoy life as much as possible. Learn from and give to each other. Share. Enriching knowledge, first-hand experiences, funny stories, inspiring thoughts...

What I Can Share with Hosts

I love to share my language knowledge and discover words or phrases I have never heard before.
