Overview
About Me
I am a nomad Canadian, who obviously loves to travel. I am truly happiest with a backpack on my back and a ticket to...anywhere.
I currently am living in Istanbul, studying my MA in Visual Arts.
Besides travel, i like many things. I love art in all its forms, particularly 35mm photo and also the written word. I love learning new things and being inspired by new settings, i love adventures and good company, and also being alone.
PHILOSOPHY
"what is to give light must endure burning"- viktor frankl
"Freedom is something that dies unless its used"
"Those who do not move, cannot feel their chains"
"I have learned to walk: since then I have run. I have learned to fly: since then I do not have to be pushed in order to move. Now I am nimble, now I fly, now I see myself under myself, now a god dances within me.
- F. Nietzsche
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I obviously like meeting people of different cultures!! Its great to just meet for coffee or tea or beer or whatever and explore new places with the help of someone who actually lives there! I think this site is amazing and my traveling experiences have been so much better because of it. Im not so concerned with finding a "free" place to sleep...and often stay in hostels just for the central location, but i ALWAYS love to meet up with locals and spend time with them. Couchsurfing is about who you meet, not just saving money.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
so many great experiences. I met amazing people off of here in Egypt, Jordan, Syria, Iraq, Iran, Lebanon, Turkey and Morocco.
