About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To set the record for the highest amount of wrong-way metro rides
ABOUT ME
I took a bet once to swallow a live goldfish for $5.
My facial expressions make me easy to read according to my friends.
I'm love to try different things and am always looking for new people to go with and try out white water rafting, a local wine tasting, a cheesy town festival, etc.
PHILOSOPHY
I think being proven wrong and changing one's opinion is a good thing because it shows your thinking.
The greatest days I ever have traveling have never been because of the sites I saw or the amount of countries I jam-packed into my plan, it's been about the people I spent the time with.
I believe you should dance when you're not drunk too.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've hosted about 80 people while studying abroad and living in Budapest, and while working in VA, FL, and TX. I have also stayed at some very lovely people's homes while traveling, and overall, I love CS. I think it may be better than chocolate croissants (which for me, is saying a lot).
Interests
I love a range of things from a drunken Tuesday night of karaoke to a backpacking trip in the mountains sans showers (but don't worry, I do normally shower on a daily basis : ) ). I love to cook and would say that is probably the hobby I spend the most time on daily.
Among the things I like a lot are traveling, camping, mushroom hunting, hosting dinner parties, and board game nights.

Music, Movies, and Books
I like comedies, romance, drama, foreign films. Basically I will watch any movie except the really lude or the even moderately scary. By scary I mean that I actually still get nightmares from that Ghostbusters movie where that painting comes to life.
As for music, I would have to sadly say my music falls somewhere along the lines of a soccer mom in the 90's. I blame that on my dad, but he'll never admit that it's true.
Books: Slaughterhouse V (Vonnegut), East of Eden (Steinbeck), 1984 (Orwell), Of Mice and Men (Steinbeck)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've danced in the rain in the (empty at the time) Champ de Mars while lightning was striking against the lit up Eiffel Tower.
In the California Redwood forest I found an Amanita Muscaria mushroom that came up to my knees in height. Like Nintendo but in real-life.
I've biked across Hungary on my own without a plan or map and met the most amazing people possible. One 85 year old woman insisted that I take her bed while she sleep on the kitchen pull-out because I did not have a place to stay for the night.
Teach, Learn, Share
I speak a bit of Hungarian so I can definitely teach you some if you are interested. I also can teach you how to cookn if you have been stuck eating Ramen most of your life.
I'd love to learn:
How to play the bass or guitar
How to cook rice well, it is my major downfall
How to make radishes look like roses
