Overview
About Me
I'm bubbly, enthusiastic about life and new experiences, and currently in the process of planning my next adventure- a fall backpacking trip around Europe! I grew up in Virginia and went to the University in Miami where I studied advertising, marketing, and music. After graduation, I've spent the last three years working in the "city where the heat is on." I enjoy playing soccer, singing anything from jazz to choir music (I'm a choir nerd), writing, snowboarding, and jogging. While traveling, I'm a fan of indulging in local cuisine, reading in the cafés, snapping unforgettable photos, and exploring landmarks (both cliché tourist sites and off the beaten path locations).
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm currently planning a backpacking trip around Western Europe this fall, and I'm looking to meet fun, welcoming people throughout my journey! I'm not in a place to be accepting guests myself, unfortunately, but I would love to become a part of the Couchsurfing community and see what it's all about :)
Interests
I played soccer all throughout my childhood; after college, I joined a league with my coworkers, which was a blast. I'm always down for a pick up game, especially if there's amateur trash-talking involved ;) I've played everything from defense, midfield, and forward- just whatever you do, don't put me in goal- I promise, I'll disappoint.
I've always had a dream about being a professional writer. I'm currently writing an entertainment blog as well as a side project (book? Screenplay? Not quite sure what it is yet).
I enjoy jogging as a hobby to keep fit and clear my mind, and would love jogging buddies! I'm a huge fan of snowboarding (although living in Miami has prevented me from indulging in this hobby recently).

Music, Movies, and Books
Favorite books right now are The Cormoran Strike Novels written by J.K. Rowling under a pseudonym Robert Galbraith- highly recommend! All of the charm from the Harry Potter novels but replace the magic with murder mystery.
Music- I love it all. Seriously. Going through an Arctic Monkeys throwback phase at the moment.
Movies- huge fan of well-written rom-coms (they're hard to come by, but for example, "When Harry Met Sally" is gold) and amazing action/thriller movies (have you seen "John Wick"? If not, get ON that!). Currently binge watching "Game of Thrones" (I know, I'm late to the party on that one). Some of my favorite shows of all time include "30 Rock", "Rick and Morty", and "Golden Girls" (that last one is a guilty pleasure, but the writing is actually quite charming).
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I taught English in Poland after I first graduated from college, although I was a terrible teacher (haha!); overall incredible experience though!!!
I've also been skydiving, which was equally the most terrifying and exhilarating feeling I've ever experienced! Hope to do it again one day, maybe somewhere like New Zealand or Hawaii...any takers? :)
