About Me

Must read ENTIRE profile completely before requesting a stay in our home. Will decline those that don't.

Married 30 years. One child (25 years old and traveling the world to continue his eduction). Two dogs, King Charles Cavaliers, and a cat. I volunteer for local agencies and enjoy being outside and taking care of family.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My son has traveled through the US and many countries in the past few years and my husband and I would like to give back to the surfing community and also meet new people.

Interests

I enjoy biking, hiking, walking our dogs in the foothills, baking, cooking, gardening and volunteering.

Music, Movies, and Books

soft rock and new rock.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Become a couch surfing host.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Places to see in Fort Collins and the surrounding area. Conversation.

Regarding the negative reference:

The CSer missed a few important words that my husband said and added a few of his own. My husband is totally for CSering but did not like what he was hearing that night at the table in our home. Our son has surfed across the US and many countries and that is why we have opened our home to CSers. We have a safe, friendly place for young travelers to stay. We want to support the up coming generation to travel countries and to gain knowledge and with that being said, I will be more proactive in who I open my home to. He seemed to be a nice man but he made us feel uncomfortable in our own home with some of the things he was saying and how he acted after coming back to our home the first evening, possibly stoned. This was just not a good fit. As the rules of CSers state, if you are not comfortable with either your host or guest, please disengage, and that is what we did.

Please read all of these instructions before requesting to stay:

Please be considerate of our home. We like to keep it neat.
Please bring your own personal items such as toothbrush, person hygiene items etc.
You can use the kitchen but please clean up after yourself.
We are more than happy to share food and drink and conversation with our guests, but we are not a Bed and Breakfast/Restaurant, bar.
Please do not let the dogs out the front door.
Please do not let the cat outside ever.
Please be considerate of noise late in the evening, hubby works long days and gets up very early in the morning.

In your request, please write "Rainbows and Unicorns" in the first line so I know you have read this far.

Countries I’ve Visited

China, England, France, Gibraltar, Italy, Mexico, Portugal, South Korea, Spain
