About Me

Hello! :) I'm Julie, a student in Competitive Intelligence in Strasbourg.
I describe myself as a lively person, who enjoys many things such as cooking, watching movies, dancing, partying, reading, meeting people... but also studying and sleeping ... and of course travelling!! I grew up in a Hungarian/Romanian family so I used to travel every year by car with my family ... Since then, one of my passion really became to learn about new languages, cultures, countries and people.

As a guest, I am very very clean, respectful, careful and caring for the other. But I am also talkative and very curious about everything :). I want not only to stay and sleep, but most of all to meet new people and their cultures, learn more about the country and the hidden places in one place.

I live with Christopher, my boyfriend, in a 3 room small appartment. For the moment, we decided that the smaller room would be a guest room, for when we have friends or family coming over. We decided the room would also be for Couchsurfing, so we can host 1 person max , whenever the room is free.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm on couchsurfing mainly because me and my boyfriend want to travel in a different way, that is: meeting new local people when we get the chance to travel. It is always better than to get a hotel... Also, with the concept, we can in return host people in our city! :)

+ student budget, so cannot afford expensive hotels full of tourists haha.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: all kind of music today even though some years ago it was a lot of hard rock and pop rock bands. I hear a song, I like it or not, regardless of the artist, the band, the language, the notoriety or the genre.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Sleeping in my car, with no fuel, lost in the highlands of Scotland, without a phone or anyone to help. Was scary but a lot of fun.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach the languages I know: French and Hungarian are my mother tongues. Also, I finished my fourth year in English teaching and literature, so I speak it fluently.

I can then teach about my way of life, french culture, natural hair care, cooking recipes etc...

I am always curious to learn new recipes, new languages, new ways of living, tips etc... :)

What I Can Share with Hosts

A nice dish, a glass of wine, lots of talks, a movie, a tour, everything and anything.

Countries I’ve Visited

Belgium, England, France, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Romania, Scotland, United States, Wales

Countries I’ve Lived In
