About Me

Hi there! I'm just starting on a life journey full of mishaps and wonder as a college student and want to get out in the world while I'm still alive and kicking. Albeit a little shy when first meeting people, I am genuinely interested in learning about different cultures and interacting with people who have wisdom and a positive attitude to share.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

As a student who wants to make the most of her travels, I believe that staying with locals leads to a more insightful, and enjoyable, time than if I were to laze about in a hotel. Living with a host family during a study abroad experience in Japan was one of the best things to have happened to me by far. They loved me like their own, showed me some gems that would be impossible to find on a tourist website, and just added a lot of laughter to my stay in the country. Couchsurfing embodies this type of connection between people from all over the world and I'm on board for anything that promotes this idea.

Music, Movies, and Books

Classical, Jazz, Pop, you name it. I love any kind of music that's not heavy metal and screamo, and I love making music just as much as I enjoy listening to it. I play the piano and cello and played clarinet for my school's marching band/wind ensemble.

Though I do love my Disney, musicals, and cartoons, I'm always down for some action/adventure movies and chick flicks.

Dystopian novels are my go-to books (1984 anyone?), but just simple and quirky books are great too like Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close and The Little Prince. Oh, and Harry Potter's pretty darn great too.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Walking the coast of Japan was very surreal and just so relaxing, save for the part that one of my friends almost fell into the waters and was almost taken in by sinking sand haha.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Respectful and independent, I'm still hoping for some guidance during my travels so I'm open to new ideas and information! I don't need much other than a place to sleep, and I'm extremely neat and tidy, so I definitely won't disturb the physical space of your place (I'll probably offer to clean because I love cleaning haha). Instead I'll be able to add laughs and giggles to your home. I'm not a five star chef or anything, but I can make you breakfast or take you out for coffee. I'm willing to learn anything that's put out for me. From learning about the history of civilizations to learning how to tango or cook, I've an appetite to consume everything that I experience.
