About Me

Hi! I’m Julie 😊

Currently in India so not accepting guests till I get back to the U.K. in April.

I’m a true couchsurfer…positive, easy going and open-minded. But with a bit of passion for what I believe in! Freedom, truth, love… doing what feels right not what everyone else thinks you should be doing!

I love travelling and meeting people which is why I’m on here! I like to see and experience how other cultures live. I spent 3 weeks in Slovenia in the spring and have lived in France, Italy and California. I’m currently travelling around India for 3 months hoping to meet local people and experience the real India 😊

MY PHILOSOPHY- Do what makes you happy. 😊 Life’s too short. Walk your own path… follow your dreams :-)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am loving the Couchsurfing vibes! ❤️ It literally opens up the world to you… when you’re feeling a bit lost or lonely or need some local knowledge or company there’s always someone nearby 😊 And it’s so much fun!

Interests

I love walking and bike riding and live by the sea so any time spent on the beach is bliss for me. I’m a food lover and have an interest in healthy eating (I enjoy cooking), yoga, meditation (don’t do these enough though!) and natural therapies. But still like to treat myself and nearly always have chocolate in my house, especially if guests are staying!

I appreciate the little things in life… sunny days, walks in nature, birds singing, laughing with friends, listening to my favourite songs (i.e. it’s not about the material stuff). And I’m very young for my age, I like to have fun with people and not take life too seriously.

I am also a member of Workaway for cultural exchange and volunteering.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love all sorts of music from Abba to rock and even a bit of country but you can’t beat the 80’s and 90’s for the best tunes!

Films:- Vanilla Skies, Sliding Doors, The Holiday, The Matrix and all the classic 80’s films (The lost boys, breakfast club, Ferris Bueller’s day off, dirty dancing, Stand by me…)

Books:- I tend to read what people recommend to me. Currently reading Ten Years a Nomad by Matt Kepnes and Eat, Pray, Love.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Travelling solo

Teach, Learn, Share

I’m good with languages and can speak French and Italian so happy to share my knowledge.

I will always share my chocolate and biscuits with you! 😄

What I Can Share with Hosts

I’m always respectful of people and their homes, I have a friendly, easy going nature - happy to chat and socialise and spend time with you doing whatever you recommend so I can learn about your local culture, but equally content spending quiet time by myself - always willing to help with cooking meals or anything else. I can offer language exchange too in English, French and Italian.
