About Me

Eat Well, Travel Often, Do Rad Things. This is my motto.

No drinking
No drugs
No gluten :)

I am just trying to be a good person who does good things and lead a simple, inspired life that may one day inspire others. Ask me more about this, I'd love to talk with you.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm here to meet people and connect from one end of humanity to the other :) I love local travel rather than tourist travel and I love meeting and knowing people. We are all friends already, let's hang out.

Interests

I'm in love with all things food and eating! Total foodie and adventurous eater, and stay pretty healthy on the side. I love eating new things, especially weird things, and traveling for the perfect bite. I also like to cook and tend to find my inspiration in the savory/sweet department. You make dinner, I'll handle dessert.

I love nature, travel, and learning. I may not remember everything but I sure like finding things out. I enjoy knowing things and especially enjoy unknowing things.

For activities I like to surf, skateboard, hike, take road trips, spend hours looking at art...I try to live life every day to its maximum capacity as best I can, soaking up as many experiences life has to offer, offering as many of my own as I can.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: Hook (number one of all time ever)
Music: Rock, Folk, alternative, acoustic, noise pop, shoe gaze, punk, Americana...so much music. I also love going to see live music shows, particularly ones that tend to leave my ears rattled a few days.
Books: Dystopic science fiction, American Gods, Ready Player One, Faulkner, Flannery O'Connor, Pragmatists...I am working on reading more. Warning: I will geek out on you.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

A five week road trip traveling 8000 miles visiting 13 National Parks was pretty amazing. Highlights included bouldering in Arches, sand boarding in Great Sand Dunes, crowing in the Grand Canyon and lots of snowball fights with my best friend Lindsey.

Teach, Learn, Share

Live near a beach? Let's surf! Live near a mountain? Let's hike! I want to learn about Your world as much as I want to share mine.

I hear I do a pretty good round of Sun Salutation as well :) I can teach you about the vacation rental industry and running a family business if that interested you. I tend to know something about most things and if I don't know anything I will want to learn. I love to share meals, and will always offer clean up.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can offer an open mind, open heart, and a courteous demeanor. I also like to do dishes and have no problem sleeping on the floor, I always travel with a sleeping bag and air pad.
