About Me

***Accepting females only, please!!
Hello! My daughter just returned from a 30 day couch surfing trip all over Europe and it sounded amazing. I'm normally a hotel gal but she had such an amazing time that I thought I would try it!
Travel is in my blood and I have been looking to expand my circle of friends so this just seems perfect!
My kids are all grown and out of the house now so it's time for me to explore and find new adventure.
I'm going outside my comfort zone every day to try new things and so far have found that the most fun and interesting things I have ever done are there so I want the adventures to keep coming.
I'm 47 but very young at heart. Love to drink, dance, art, plays, movies, MUSIC, concerts (just saw Howard Jones, OMD and Barenaked Ladies in Seattle last month), walking, nature, recycling, thrift stores. I'm very, very spontaneous and am pretty much up to try anything.
I am clean, considerate, love a good laugh and amazing sense of humor in people, earth conscious, love to meditate and read and very, very open minded about religion, politics (prefer not to discuss), social issues and about life in general.
Nothing makes me happier than really getting to know people and hearing what makes them who they are, their experiences and their ambitions.
In general, I'm up for meeting amazing new people, trying new amazing things and mostly, finding those things in life that surprise you.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Because I'm going outside my comfort zone and everything I have done so far has been life changing! I'm hoping Couch Surfing will be everything I have heard it will be. A hotel is a hotel. I've stayed in 100 of them. But my daughter tried this and said it was amazing.
So I am up to try something new and to find out what lies outside of the circle I have lived in for 47 years!

Music, Movies, and Books

My favorite music is 80's but love any pop, some old school rap, piano, jazz and classical. Madonna, Prince, OMD, Howard Jones, Beastie Boys, Ja Rule, Adele, KISS, Elton John (Have seen him in concert twice), Amy Winehouse, Ed Sheeran, Fugees
Favorite movies are Zombieland, Gone with the Wind, Ben Hur, 16 Candles, Godfather and Pulp Fiction.
I am currently reading David Copperfield and The Runaway Wife. Loved The Great Gatsby, The Poems of Giacomo Leopardi, The Book Thief, The Witness Wore Red, Bossypants, The Four Agreements and The Wild Oats Project.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One of the most amazing things I have ever done is spend 2 weeks in Europe - France, Italy, Germany. I was 42 and the first time I had ever been there. It changed my life. I look forward to a time when I can travel there yearly.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share my love and experiences of living in Alaska, my passion of cooking, food and wine - I would be delighted to cook for my host and find an amazing bottle of wine to accompany the meal, my very enthusiastic LOVE of all things new and different and interesting, my easy sense of humor, my flexibility to deal with change of plans, my easy going, nonjudgmental personality and my extreme appreciation for any and all that is offered to me.

Countries I’ve Visited

Bahamas, Canada, Cayman Islands, France, Germany, Italy, Jamaica, Mexico, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Saint Lucia, Saint Martin (French part), United States

Countries I’ve Lived In
