About Me

When I was a kid, my family spent summers on the road, camping in nearly every state the USA. I absolutely loved it. As an adult I started traveling internationally in 2009, and now I can't get enough. I love trying new foods, experiencing different cultures, and doing my best to pronounce words in other languages.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to meet new people and learn about other cultures. I hope to gain friends and a deeper understanding for the people on this earth.

Interests

The great outdoors. My happiest moments are spent huffing and puffing up a mountainside while enjoying the natural beauty of this world. When I'm not on a mountain I enjoy consuming culture, whether it be foods or the arts. I love trying new flavors and foods that are foreign to my palate.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I went fishing for piranhas in the Amazon river. I caught one too! Later I went swimming. True story.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm very patient with people learning English. If you want someone to practice speaking with I will do my best to help you! I understand how difficult it is to learn a new language, I'm trying to learn Korean. I would love to share my travel experiences and cultural traditions with anyone that is curious.

I'm a good cook, and living abroad for 3 years I've learned to adapt what I can find locally to make my favorite dishes. Let me cook for you!
