About Me

I'm free-spirited and independent. I love the adventure of travel and have been to Argentina, Brazil, Australia, Thailand, China, French Polynesia, Costa Rica, and all over Europe and Scandinavia. I've learned how to train elephants in Thailand, studied Afro-Brazilian dance in Brazil, gone horseback riding and scuba diving all over the world, climbed mountains, and enjoyed amazing experiences along the way. Enjoying the thrill of exploration, pushing outside my comfort zone, exposing myself to new experiences and different ways of viewing the world are all very important to me. I crave intelligent discussions with people who have something interesting to say about the world or their experience in it.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Couchsurfing gives me the the opportunity to meet new people and see a local's perspective on the places I visit. I'm curious about the world and I find through Couchsurfing I meet other curious people. Also, I'm working on building my startup and I'm still in the early stages so Couchsurfing offers me the flexibility to still go the places I need to go and build my company at the same time.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I spent 6 months traveling solo around Southeast Asia (Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, Singapore, Vietnam, Hong Kong) filming for my company, Exploratrice Media. I carried about 25 pounds of gear and another 40-45 pounds of clothes, gear, etc in my backpack. While on my trip I traveled in the back of pickup trucks, trains, buses, personal cars used as long-distance taxis, and even a tractor. I stayed in huts, hostels, peoples homes, and even slept on the floor one night when there weren't any more rooms available. I won't even get started on the crazy things I ate, but let's just say I had to fly to Singapore after getting food poisoning and parasites. :-) My company is focused on badass females, exploration and digital innovation. To top the adventure off, in the middle of my trip my friends surprised me by flying me to Berlin to party for the weekend.
