About Me

Hey! Im actually an old couchsurfer member under the name of globetrotters but this is my new profile. I met amazing people through the couchsurfing website. I've been travelling mostly in Asia for the last five years, india, nepal, singapour, malaysia, thailand and indonesia. I love to cook and trek. Im a very clean and self sufficient guest. I speak french english and italian. I can get by in spanish. I love meeting new people from around the globe. Im always up for a new challenge!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Im on couchsurfing mainly because i'd like to avoid the backpacker scene and meet real people not just travellers. As much as i love meeting people on the road like me, i find that through couchsurfing i have done more authentic encounters and experiences. Im very interested in the local activities and just really how people live. If i can be of any help to my host i will do my best and i will try to make my stay a real exchange.

Interests

I love travelling and people but that's obvious. So my others interests are music, art, nature, climbing, camping, spirituality, meditation.

Music, Movies, and Books

I listen to a lot of hiphop but my tastes vary from jazz to electro. Im keen to hear anything new. I also love ethnic music, reggea, dub.
Amongst my favourite books there is "the perfume" by Patrick Suskind, Dostoevsky "crime and punishment", "the kite runner" Khaled Hosseini
In movies i love any Almodovar, Tarantino and any movie that doesn't have an obvious american ending.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've climbed the Anapurna Base Camp seven years ago. It was pretty fantastic. Four years ago i went on a sail boat for a week end trip. There was a terrible wind pushing at shore and we spend the whole day trying to reach the coast. Our sails were threatning to break so we had to pull them in and ended up drifting until sun came down and we had to call the rescue. That was probably the most frightning experience of my life. In the end we got rescued and were safe and sound.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach a little bit of french and share my knowledge aof french cooking. I used to be a qualified bartender when i was working in seasonal jobs a few years ago so i can always make some coktails for you. I love to share books and music. I have a pretty big library of music that im keen to share with anyone.

What I Can Share with Hosts

As i've said previously i am ready to share anything i have really. I love to cook and share experiences. Im a very open person, very easy to talk to. The way i see couchsurfing is not just to dump my bag and use the couch as a hotel space. Im here to have a real exchange and share food, time, drinks, stories, fun...
