Overview
About Me
Adventurous, kind, animal loving, open minded, liberal New Englander. I work in the IT department of a toy company and absolutely love my job. Social extrovert to the core - I love meeting new people, traveling to new places, trying new cuisines, learning new skills. Recently taught myself to knit. Would love to learn to sail. And improve my cooking skills.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Most the places I've lived in have been major cities that I have has a most wonderful time exploring.
I find that the best way to truly get to know a new local is to be immersed in the local culture. What better way to learn about a city or new (exotic to me) location than to stay with someone that calls it home?
Connection with the world and people around us is a beautiful thing. And staying with locals, who know their city and open up their home is one of the best ways to form those connections.
Interests
Social moments, gender studies, politics, food: cooking or eating, drinking, craft cocktails, laughing, sailing, being near the sea, learning new things, deep conversations about history or privilege or science, knowledge share, cultures different from mine, getting dirt under my fingernails, staying up till the wee hours of the morning having adventures, dark pubs with cold beer

What I Can Share with Hosts
Right now I'm not able to host at my location. I've hoping this may change in the next 6 months to a year.
Am interested in meeting other local people in Providence. Or helping those visiting explore the city.
