About Me

I'm italian, I was born and grew up in Rome where I live with my mother and my cat but I currently live in Padua, Italy, where I am working as a general surgeon.
I'm very sociable, down-to-earth, open-minded and curious. I like meeting new people and get to know them through long talks and exchange of opinions.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EcaxrqhUJ4c
"let me sleep tonight on your couch..."

I'm on Couchsurfing even if I currently can't host as I wish to have the opportunity to be hosted so I can travel around and see new cities with the help of my host. I hope to meet new people to talk about our interests and have a good time.
Sometimes I also ask for accomodation if I'm travelling for work and I can't find an accomodation, but this does not stop me from chatting and having fun.

Interests

I love travelling, and I can arrange any kind of trips if it's worth it. I love sightseeing, hiking, travelling by car, train, plane... I can sleep in a hotel, in a tent and wherever there's some place to stay. Basically, I can travel in any condition.
I like reading, listening to music, watching movies and because of this I spend all my money in books, records, concerts and cinema.
Another great passion is eating, I love my country's food but I eat any kind of food; I also like drinking beer and good wines very much.
I also like debating about politics and news, so if I don't match with my interlocutor, we will be loud!

Music, Movies, and Books

Music- almost everything! From Metallica, Iron Maiden, SOAD, to The Beatles, The Smiths, Jeff Buckley, through The Libertines, Alice in Chains, classical music, classic rock, independent hardcore punk..

Movies- most of all, Star Wars. First movie I got crazy about in my childhood, and I still am. It means a lot to me!
Then, almost everything again. Adventure, Fantasy, all the possible Sagas, Superheroes and of course cult movies (Hitchcock, Kubrick, ...).

Books- I'm getting more picky and I like half of the books that I read now, but I enjoy '800 literature (Zola, Bronte, Austen) and thriller books a lot (italian author Camilleri drives me crazy), and I sometimes like italian contemporary authors. Anyway, I can read almost everything I find around.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've travelled in China from Beijing to Shanghai and back in just one week, seeing whatever there was to see, without sleep and running around all day, but it was worth it!

Teach, Learn, Share

I like talking and I can teach and share whatever I have, think and feel, and I can't wait to learn something new from my host about lifestyle, culture, ideas.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I would love to share a chat and offer you one, or maybe two, or ten beers. Unfortunately, even if I'm italian, I can't cook - apologies! - but I love to eat out (it's on me!).
