Should say about "us"... Ju & Oli, 2 backpacks, 1 goal: travel the world and discover new cultures !

We both decided quite early to leave our native country to go study and then work abroad. This is how we finally met in Romania !

As we were getting itchy feet we decided to stop talking about how the world and its people seem amazing and go see it by ourselves. We decided to quit our jobs and start traveling to explore, experience and share with people from all around the world.

We are both very fond of nature, animals and music, we like to party, to talk...well we are life-lovers !

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Because the purpose of our trip is not only to discover incredible places but also to have the chance to meet the people that do make those places even more incredible ! How to do so better than having the chance to stay with them for a while and be able to experience they way of living and to get to know their mindset and culture ?!

We really hope that we will have the opportunity to find open minded and fun people and when our trip will end to be able to host them in return once we will be back to Europe :).

Music, Movies, and Books

We both love music and have ecletics tastes from hip-hop to jazz or rock and electronic music and from classic artists to new comers included : Bob Marley, Angus & Julia Stone, The XX, Alt-J, Golan, Two Doors Cinema Club, Justice, Paul K, Moonlight Breakfast, Jamiroquai, G-Eazy...

When it comes to movies or TV shows we do have veryyy differents tastes ! Julie is obsessed with fantasy or adventure while Oli would rather watch realistic movies.
Somehow we manage to agree on certain movies or TV shows such as: Seven, Whiplash, La Haine, Narcos, Banshee, The Wire, Mr Robot, Breaking Bad or Vikings

Let's face it, we are not big readers but if we should select a few books that would be some classics like Harry Potter, Sherlock Holmes, story by Maxime Chattam, Mary Higgins Clark or Agatha Christie...

Teach, Learn, Share

We are both originally from France, but have lived in Romania, in the US & England as well as Germany so we could possibly help with french, english, romanian and german.

Of course, we also have loads of things to share about the french culture, and Julie is a particularly talented cooker ;).

We are more than willing and open to learn anything new that you could possibly share with us, from a nice memory you had in your country or abroad to the experiences you may have encountered in your life.
