About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Enjoy every day of my year abroad, but also counting down the days until I am home again. As of today, I have 90 more days to go.
ABOUT ME
This part is always hard to fill out. I'd say that I am a young(well, I am still young...)easy going and happy university student. I enjoy life and am almost never grumpy. My major is teaching English, Philosophy and German, but there is still a long way till I'll be finished with school. I love traveling and books. But I am always open to new fun and interesting things to do. I also am typically German, I like beer :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I just started this project, because I thought it was really interesting. I finally got a couch, so I am more than happy to help out! SO I guess I participate in all kinds of ways. Host, surf and events.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
So far I had some moments with couchsurfing. I was able to surf in Bristol and I had a great time. I think that couchsurfing is amazing and a really great opportunity to meet new people and get to know the world.I am happy to host, although nobody wanted so far. I live in a really small city in Germany near the polish boarder, but it is great. Full of university students, so come and stop by ;)
And I just had my first surfer. He didn't mind the lack of the bed! And it just showed how easy it can be to have faith and trust in other people. I love it.
Interests
I'd say my biggest interest are books. I believe that every book has a soul and if I start reading a book, I'll never quit it :) Sounds cheesy, I know...It is true though. Besides that I enjoy traveling and getting to know new people. Right now I am taking a break from University and am living in the US. More accurately, I am in the DC area at the moment, but about to head back to Berlin after the summer.
Music, Movies, and Books

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I always am amazed with my little brother. He is 6 now and about to start school and it is just amazing how fast he has grown and how smart he is or the way he sees the world.
Teach, Learn, Share
I think we can learn from all kinds of people and also often we are able to teach them. It can be a phrase that you love or a recipe you always wanted to know/share.
There are so many ways to learn and teach. Also a great way to learn and to share is with and through children. I am in university to become a teacher, but i think being an aupair and living with different families in order to watch their children has taught me a great deal about life, love, happiness and also sadness and being homesick.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I think I am a very easy going person that kind of couch surges professionally, as I have been an aupair for 4 different families. I do have my own room while i live with these families, but I think just being able to live months or even a year with a family, who aren't just supposed to be a hosting family, but also your bosses, makes it easy to adapt to all kinds of situations. I also learned and valued respect for other people's property and rules. I think I am an easy guest who can seriously adapt to almost anything. I do however have an allergy to cats, but that's just my problem and not yours :)
