About Me

I'm currently traveling around Asia for a year with my girlfriend and we are eager to share moments with locals and expats because this is our favorite way of traveling. Traveling is about cultural exchanges. We try to immerse ourselves in the culture as well as to share a bit of Europe with locals. The opportunity to exchange cultures is important to create acceptance and understanding. We hitchhike as much as we can and we avoid the most touristic ways when traveling and it brings us to great and unexpected encounters and to stay locals' houses. As we are very interested in permaculture designed farming, we want to take part in volunteer projects by using platforms as woofing, helpx in this kind of field.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

As slow travelers we travel to experience places rather to sightsee them. We want to share experiences, opinions, ways of living, travel tips and worldwide cultures. In this point of view, CS stands in this way of traveling in which you meet people, exchange and learn from each other.

Interests

We are learning more about photography while traveling but we are into art in general. Back home, I will specialize myself in permaculture, something we have learned from a volunteering program in an organic farm in Thailand called Gaia Ashram. After two meditation retreats in a temple where we also volunteered, we want to bring this practice with us back home. My girlfriend, Sapho, is playing instruments since she is little. We both love to cook and share it with others.
