I think couchsurfing is one of the best ways to travel and to get to know people. I hosted people before and I have been hosted... It always has been great experiences !

Best solution when you travel a lot ! You meet local peoples, so you have new friends (I hope), they show you hidden places, they make you test traditional food... It's also more excititing than hotels, you never know with who you gonna be !!
