Overview
About Me
After working for more than 2 years in France, I created a social project and got my city council involved in order to promote a better quality of living amongst people: Through human values such as solidarity, respect, mutual understanding, sharing and fraternity, I aim to encourage people to "re-learn" living together, and not "aside" to each other.
My main concern is about living an alternative to this globalized/ self-centered / consumerist western lifestyle that leads people to forget how essential it is to feel as a world citizen, seeing the alter as a brother and not as a challenger.
I am single, don't have kids (I hope i will...), I have worked in almost every sector of activity: Education of course (teaching and tutoring), building, I sometimes work as a seller in malls for the weekend (temporarly), I can cook (I love cooking for family and friends at home), I can sew, and last but not least: I joined the French police forces and was a constable for more than 6 years. I resigned in 2009 after deciding to change completely my way of life.
I've been practising Karate for 25 years and gained a lot of serenity and sense of fraternity thanks to it, so I like every kind of sports.
I love animals and can work in animal care as well.
Please ask me for more, or wait for us to meet, so we'll have great conversations about whatever you like to discuss!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I am currently travelling all over the world, in order to demonstrate how essential it is to discover other cultures, different kinds of people, without any prejudice and fear of the unknown. I am feeding a Facebook page and everyone, especially the kids and the people from my birth place (friends, relatives,...) can follow my trip, my visits in Karate clubs all over the world, and get inspired from my behaviour and my experiences, so they will also change their mind and way of living.
Everybody knows that money (unfortunately) rules the world, but I am deeply conviced there is another way: Offering my time and energy wherever I can will be my way of thanking people for hosting me and wanting to know me. I don't want to slave to subsistance, for the only reason of getting a nice car and a big house: I'd rather hope the simplest way is being part of one's local community, dedicating myself to common wellness.
Couchsurfing would allow me to fulfill my goal and achieve the social project I created, without spending all my savings before the end of it.

Music, Movies, and Books
I love all the books from Paolo Coellho, and I don't spend a single day without headphones on my ears: From techno to reggae, through jazz and french folk, music makes my heart beat!
I don't have a TV anymore, I just need my computer to stream my favorites shows, such as "The Big Bang Theory" or "Doctor who"! ^^ Having a beer in front of a good documentary is my hobby!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
In a wildlife animal park in France, under the supervision of the staff, I entered with 5 or 6 teenagers into a wolves hound territory and watched the guy feeding them, throwing pieces of meat at the closest ones (like, less than 5 meters).
So I was just a spectator...
But more involved I was when I lived during 2 months in a very remoted place in the middle of the Jungle, in Nepal, where I could teach the kids english and maths. That was part of a non-profit occupation I had there, aside from volunteering in a Kathmandu's orphanage, with all those abandonned childrens who gave me the best year of my whole life.
Teach, Learn, Share
I suppose I already explained about my skills in the previous sections, :) though, I actually am a tutor, and because I didn't go to university and got the diplomas, I am teaching apart from the classical school environment (I cannot work for the French ministry of Education because I don't have a degree or a Phd which is requested).
That's why I work as a home tutor, I teach Karate for free, and I am in charge of the extracurricular activities in my local community centre.
What I Can Share with Hosts
With a lot of modesty and humility, a philosophy of life which is not the immature/ party animal / sabbatical usual style of backpackers. I am very happy for all the 20-25 yo boys and girls who can enjoy a holiday-like experience and travel as I do, but I humbly think I can bring a more mature, responsible contribution to the hosts I will visit.
I've already proved in previous experiences I am not afraid of hard working and total dedication when it comes to serious matters, and I'd like to take every opportunity to show my sense of adaptability and my honest will to help everywhere I go.
