ABOUT ME

My name is Julien and i am 25. I started to travel in July in Canada, then in south america. I started this trip by myslef but I am not traveling alone anymore. I am now with my girlfriend that i met in Peru. Her name is Dimple, she is 27 and from London, UK. Together, we went trough Peru, Bolivia, Chile, Argentina, and now Brasil. I have some experiences with Couchsurfing as Dimple is new to this. But she is as interested and excited about it as me.

PHILOSOPHY

Julien : no drugs, no alcohol, no cigarettes, vegetarian. but very open minded about other's choices. Respect people and people will respect you

Dimple : Love to learn and laugh and help others smile treat all people and living creatures equally and with respect, always see things the way they are including the good and the bad, seeking change and insight helps us improve and better oursleves as does owning and learning from your mistakes. Regrets are not a bad thing, at least we are being honest with oursleves

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We are both new to this and I have stayed with people along my travels and though it was great, Dimple has met a person in Peru and loved the expereince and we would now like to participate more and hopefully we can host and show people our home town and city when we are back from our travels

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Just a few for me, and new for Dimple. But we both met many people during our trip, and still hoping to meet many more.

Interests

Julien : travels of course.
Sports, football particulary, but also tennis, skiing, squash, and surfing that i try to learn
Musics, alternative most of it, like punk, hardcore, screamo... but also a lot of hip hop, ambiance music, rock. (Have Heart, Bane, Verse, Propagandi, The Clash, The Roots, Mos Def, Nas, Sigur Ros, Bloc Party...)
Sharing ideas and stories with new people, about almost anything.

Dimple :
I love animals (they teach us soo mcuh) especially dogs, i have a little one waiting for me back at home and cannot wait to see her again. I love to cook although i am a vegetarian and so my cooking is limited to that. I enjoy watching football and like to run.
Music: I love listening and goign to gigs, i enjoy folksy music, indie rock and cheesey music when i am a little merry! Some of the muscians, bands and singers I enjoy are Ben Howard, Ryan Adams, Iron & Wine, William Fitzsimmons, Ed Sheeran, Florencce and the Machine, The Weepies, Kasabian and many more. I love trying new things just for the heck of it as I will never know what I will end up loving with a passion

Books: This varies depending on where i'm at but i like popular sience books, Fantasy, modern classics, classisc but I am open to most reads (though i steer clear from Bridget Jones and Sophie Kinsella sorry i tried but i just couldn't) some of my favourties are; The Bell Jar, The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night, The Road, The Dark Tower series....

Movies: Love watching films, its hard to maek a list but here are some: LOTR! Lawn dogs, Hotel Rwanda, Boy's don't cry, Sleepers....

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Together in this trip, we'seen and done so many amyzing things. Like Macchu Pichu, Salar de Uyuni, sandboarding, volunteer for an animal shelter, and an association which help poor kid in Buenos Aires, Patagonia (blowed our minds for ever), Perito Morino glacier which was breathtaking...

Teach, Learn, Share

Dimple is such an amzing cook, so ready to cook you the best vegetarian meals of the universe. and we could both teach you a bit of english and french. And also some of Gujerati or Hindi if you're interested and plan on visiting india anytime!
